Dear Supporter of ACC and the Arts,
As Abington Choral Club prepares for our annual holiday concert, we want you to know how grateful we are for your past support that contributed to the success of our Holiday 2025 and Spring 2026 concert performances at Abington Senior High School.
Because of your generosity, we were also able to share our voices across our community and beyond. Thanks to you, we were able to:
- Perform for residents at Rydal Park and Springhouse Estates retirement communities.
- Spread holiday cheer by caroling at Gloria Dei Towers retirement community.
- Sing the National Anthem in four-part harmony at sporting events for La Salle University, the Trenton Thunder and the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs.
- Sing the National Anthem and Lift Every Voice and Sing at the Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration hosted by Abington Township’s Human Relations Commission.
- Award our annual scholarship to a deserving Abington senior, Zene Colt.
We are now asking for your help again to make our upcoming concerts and future outreach initiatives a reality. Your donation is tax deductible and every contribution helps us enrich our community through the gift of music.
There are two ways to donate:
All patron donations received by November 15th will be recognized in our December 2026 and May 2027 concert programs. We hope you will join us for these concerts! Here are the highlights:
- Saturday, December 5th at 7:30 PM: Our holiday concert will celebrate American composers and arrangers and includes Christmas originals composed by current and former ACC Directors Peter Hilliard and Frank Kuykendall. The Hanukkah Festival of Lights will be featured in a piece by local composer Charles Davidson, as well as in a suite of three traditional melodies arranged by Jason Robert Brown and sung in Hebrew. We are also performing a sampler of lesser-known American Christmas carols, and our audience will surely recognize many of the holiday songs in two additional medleys.
- Saturday, May 1st at 7:30 PM: In 2027, ACC will celebrate its 80th anniversary! Program selections will feature original compositions by ACC directors, member favorites from across the decades and a Brigadoon medley (Broadway, 1947). At this concert, we will also pay tribute to Beethoven’s legacy on what will be the 200th anniversary of his death.
Thank you for being a valued and vital part of our choral family.
Warm regards,
Rachelle Leese, President
